Avanti Hylas 1 satellite broadband service

Our new service using the Hylas 1 satellite by Avanti PLC combines high speed satellite broadband with UK based ground stations.  This allows use of UK specific websites such as www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and Channel 4OD.

Services up to 8Mbps down and 2Mbps up for consumer and business.

Optional extra include Wireless modem, Homeplugs and business or domestic network cabling.

Notes on the service:

a) We can set your system to throttle down to a low speed when you hit your data limit or you can choose to go into excess usage charged at £6 per GB.

b) If you require a fixed IP addresses or routing for CCTV or office based mail or small business server then you will require a Pro service, the Consumer service has a non-routable IP address.

c) Price for standard installation £499.99, includes up to 30m of cable.

d) Contract is for a minimum of 12 months from activation.

e) To create a wireless network, ad a Wireless 'N' router to your order for £48 incl VAT.
